Everest Base Camp Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing, then connecting flight to Chengdu.

Day 02: In the early morning fly to Tibet, in the afternoon rest and acclimatize.

Day 03: Lhasa: visit Potala Palace and Johkang temple and walk around the famous Barkor Street.

Day 04: Lhasa: visit Drepung and Sera monastery.

Day 05: Lhasa-Gyantse, visit Yamdrok Lake and Palkor monastery.

Day 06: Gyantse-Shigatse, visit Tashilunpo monastery in Shigatse.

Day 07: Shigatse-Latse, overnight at simple Guest house.

Day 08: Latse-Saga, a whole day’s driving, about 300km. The army town of Saga(4600m) is the last town of any size on this route. overnight at simple Guest house.

Day 09: Saga-Paryang, Another day's driving(260km) will take us to Paryang in the heart of western Tibet, where the four great rivers of South Asia diverge from their glacial sources around Mount Kailash. During the rainy season, the roads to Paryang are likely to be washed out by floods, in which case we may need to drive the truck through a 30 cm(11.7 inches) deep stream.overnight at simple Guest house.

Day 10: Paryang-Darchen,Darchen(4575 meters) is the starting and completion point for the general circuit of the sacred mountain. It is wise to spend at least a day here in preparation.overnight at Guest house.

Day 11-13: Trekking around Kailash Camping.

Day 14: Tirthapuri. We will camp another night at this Tirthapuri hot spring. overnight at Camp.

Day 15: Guge Kingdom. We will spend another day in the area to visit the ruins of the Guge Kingdom, which ruled western Tibet 300 years ago.

Day 16: Guge Kingdom drive back to Tirthapuri. Overnight at Tirthapuri tented camp.

Day 17-20: Tirthapuri drive to Mansarover lake. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 18: Drive to Mansarover lake to Paryang. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 19: Drive Paryang to Saga. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 20: Drive Saga to Latse. Overnight at guest house.

Day 21: Drive Latse to Lhasa. Overnight at guest house.

Day 22: Lhasa, early morning transfer to airport and fly to Chengdu, then connecting flight to Beijing, self transfer to hotel and then free time.

Day 23: Transfer to airport and departure from Beijing.

Day 24: Back to onward destination
