Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa.
Eco Trip Nepal representative will meet you at the airport. transfer to
hotel.
Day 2: Lhasa sightseeing tour.
Full day city tour of the potala palace, the jokhang temple, and
barkhor street.
The potala palace: perched upon the marpo ri hill, 130 meters above
the lhasa valley, it is the greatest monumental structure in Tibet.
We kindly suggest you take taxi to the top of the palace which costs
about 10 and then walk down after your visiting.
The jokhang temple: the jokhang is the most celebrated temple in
Tibet. because the temple is not controlled by a particular sect of
Tibetan buddhism it attracts adherents of all the sects as well as
followers of bon-po, Tibet's indigenous religion.
Barkhor street: the barkhor is the oldest street in lhasa as well
as the center of old lhasa and remains very traditional. it is a place
where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts are assembled.
Day 3: Lhasa sightseeing tour.
Full day trip to the famouse hot spring - yangbajin, and the biggest
and highest salty lake in Tibet namtso lake.
yangbajin : it is famous for its hot spring and is a nice choice
for those who want to get a close look at the Tibetan herders (drokpa)
and their semi-nomadic lifestyle
Namtso lake: namtso, located 220km to the north of lhasa city, is
the biggest and highest salty lake in Tibet. the water area of it is
over 1940 square kelometres, and the elevation is 4718m,just between
two huge mountains, 40km to its south is the pek of nyiachentangula
mountain ranges, altitude is 7162m, to its north side is also a
mountain range og nyiachentangula. around it is huge grassland, in
summer time it is nice to see yaks, sheep, horses, wild donkeys, rock
goats, bears and other wild animals wondering around.
Day 4: Lhasa sightseeing tour.
Visit sera monastery, trupeng monastery, norbulingka.
Sera monastery: it is known as one of the three greatest monasteries
of Tibet.
trupeng monastery: it is one of the biggest monasteries in Tibet.
norbulingka: norbulingka means "jeweled garden". it was constructed
as a summer palace for the dalai lama and later served the whole
governmental administration.
Day 5: Lhasa to Departure.
Our representative will transfer to airport for onward destination.
