Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1350m, Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu by flight or private transfer to Pokhara (915m).

Day 03: Trek to Thirkhe Dhunga. Overnight at Tirkhe Dhunga (1577m). 4 to 5 hours walk

Day 04: Thirkhe Dhunga trek to Ghorepani (2850m). Overnight at Ghorepani. 5 to 6 hours walk

Day 05: Ghorepani trek to Tada pani (2540m). Overnight at Tada pani. 6 to 7 hours walk

Day 06: Tadapani trek to Ghandruk (1970m). Overnight at Ghandruck. 5 to 6 hours walk

Day 07: Ghandrung  trek to Tolkha (1790m). Overnight at Tolkha. 5 to 6 hours walk

Day 08: Tolkha trek to Phedi & drive to Pokhara (900m). Overnight at hotel. 5 to 6 hours walk

Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu by private vehicle or flight. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Sightseeing of Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Eco Trip Nepal airport representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward journey.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you are met by our airport drivers -- look out for your name on a sign in the arrivals area. They bring you to the hotel where your room is already booked. If you're feeling up to it, take some time to explore Kathmandu's medieval Backstreets. Discover buildings dating back to the 16th century. Make your way down to Thamel, the main tourist area in Kathmandu and a great place to dine. Choose one of the many Nepalese or international restaurants -- the food is excellent at places like New Orleans Cafe, Rum Doodle and Beer Garden. Enjoy your evening and take plenty of rest to recover from that Jetlag. The adventure begins tomorrow !

Day 02: THE GATEWAY TO THE ANNAPURNA & DHAULAGIRI HIMAL

After breakfast fly to Pokhara, centre of the Western Development Region and traditional trading Centre in the shadow of the Annapurna Massif. During our half an hour flight the view of the mighty Himalayan range, including the Annapurna, Ganesh, Mt. Nilgiri, and Manasulu will be a life time experience. Upon arrival our local representative will transfer us to our hotel. Afternoon we walk along the shores of the Phewa lake allowing us to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Pokhara valley. Birding at the shore of the lake is equally rewarding or we sit and relax in a cafe with a book. We’ll head for Moondance Cafe or Boomarang restaurant for dinner and drinks in the evening - great spots!

Day 03: Drive  Pokhara - Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga (1577m)

After breakfast, you will drive for an hour to Nayapool where you will start your Poonhill trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town beside the Modi River. We head up the main trail to Sudami where we climb gradually up the side of the valley, reaching Hile (1495m) before pushing on to Tikhe Dhunga. It would take about four hous. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 04: Tirkhedhunga trek to Ghorepani (2855m) 5-6 hrs walk.

After breakfast, you prepare for the long uphill and start with steeply ascends on the long stone steps to Ulleri village with the amazing landscape and the Himalayan scenery. You spend a pleasant day's trekking through rhododendron and oak forests. The scenery gives you inner power to climb up these steps and immerse you to walk more. After few hours of walking with several breaks in between reaching at Ghorepani, you can enjoy the fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 05: Morning hike to Poon Hill then trek to Tadapani (2595m) 6-7 hrs walk

An early morning start for 45 minutes hike up to Poon hill (3210m/10530ft), the route offers the glimpse of the pleasant rhododendron forest. This brilliant viewpoint provides us an unobstructed sunrise over the high Himalayas and the wide range of panoramic scenery from the far western Himalaya of Dolpo, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna including Mt. Machhapuchre (Fish Tail) and all the way to Manasalu. After a great time return back to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trek down hill through the mix forest to Tadapani. 4-5 hours. Overnight at Guest house. Early in the morning, Eco Trip Nepal trekking guide will take to Poon hill 3210m for superb Himalayan scenery including the Dhaulagiri 8167m, Nilgiri 7041m, Fishtail/Machhapuchhare 6998m, Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna II 7939m , Annapurna III7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Annapurna south 7219m, Hiunchuli 6441m, Lamjung Himal 6986m, Tukuche peak 6920m etc , breakfast at ghorepani and continue trek to Tadapani (2045m).

Day 06: Tadapani trek to Ghandrun  (1970m) 5-6 hrs walk

Dropping down from Tadapani to the  Ghandrung village offers good views of the upper Modi valley. After crossing the steam the trail follows downhill to the Ghandrung village for your lunch and overnight. Village lies tucked at the base of Himal Chuli. It is the second  biggest Gurung settlement in this valley after Chomorong. Afternoon you guide will take you to the ACAP and Gandring Village Museum. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 07: Ghandrung  trek to Tolkha (1790m) 5-6 hrs walk

After breakfast your trail descent to the Modi Khola Khola and then the trail leads you strait up to Landrung village for lunch. After lunch continue your trek ascent gently up through an uninhabited forest area to Tolkha for overnight. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 08: Tolkha trek to Phedi & drive to Pokhara (900m). 5 to 6 hours walk

An awesome penultimate day on trek. Tumbling waterfalls and stunning vistas greet you on every twist and turn of the trail at Pothana for lunch. A last early morning start to enjoy the sunrise over Annapurna South, Himchuli and Macchapucchre. After lunch an easy two hour trek brings us to Phedi where you reach the road head and a short 30 minute transfer brings you to the lakeside town of Pokhara. Time to relax, reflect, shop and perhaps enjoy a well earned cold beer. Overnight Hotel.  

Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu by private vehicle or flight.

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara airport and fly back to Kathmandu. We will enjoy our second last day in Magical Kathmandu with plenty of time for shopping in Thamel the main tourist area of Kathmandu. Thamel is a myriad of banners, signs, music shops, bakeries, internet cafes, restaurants, bars, hotels, shops of all imaginable varieties and eccentrically clad backpackers. In the evening will head out for dinner on one of Kathmandu's excellent restaurants and farewell. Over dinner we will reflect our activities and personal insights.

Day 10: In Kathmandu

After breakfast, our tour guide will take to for historical monuments sightseeing in Kathmandu valley such as Bhaktapur, Pasupatinath, Bouddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar square and Monkey temple (swyambhunath) and in the evening farewell dinner in Restaurant, overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities, Eco Trip Nepal airport representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward journey.
