Among the 14 national parks and wildlife reserves in the Kingdom,
the Royal Chitwan Nationals Park (932 Sq Km) is the most popular safari
destination.A world Natural Site declared by UNESCO,is one of the most
visited Parks.More than 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros roaming in her
sprawling grass and wetlands.Other most famous species in this park is
some 100 nocturnal Royal Bengle tigers hunting their preys in this
dense jungle. The diverse ecology of the Park is home to around 600
plant species,50 mammals,526 birds and 49 amphibians and reptiles.Some
of the flora and fauna are endangered. The best part is that it is close
to Kathmandu and easily accessible (only 165 Km overland) and Bharatpur
airport adjoining the park is 25 minute flight away (there are daily
