Mount Makalu 8463 meters is the fifth highest mountain in the world. Mtount Makalu lies in the north east region of Nepal and 14 miles east of Mt. Everest. In 1955 the French groups led by Jean Franco were the first to reach the Mt Makalu summit. Mt. Makalu expeditions start from Tumlingtar Flight, just above the Arun River to Mt. Makalu base camp at 5100 meters. Mt. Makalu has five routes and four variations along with other interesting opportunities like the West face, the Northeast and North flanks (Tibet). This is the kingdom of the glaciers, surrounded by the memorable presence of the world’s mightiest mountains and brooding above the very tall size of Everest itself. Our expedition staff will manage the expedition and has considerable experience in the Mt. Makalu-Barun National Park Makalu is a very beautiful but extremely challenging mountain.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1350 meters, Eco Trip Nepal representative will transfer to hotel, Mt. Makalu expedition briefing with officially arrangements, Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu for officially procedures and necessary arrangements.
Day 03: Kathmandu for officially procedures and necessary arrangements.
Day 04: Fly to Tumlingtar. Trek to Khadbari (1040m). Overnight at Khadbari.
Day 05: Bhotebas (1730m). Overnight lodge/ camp.
Day 06: Chichiara. Overnight lodge / camp.
Day 07: Num. Overnight in lodge / camp.
Day 08: Kuwapani (1560m). Overnight lodge/ camp.
Day 09-10: Tashi Goan (2100m). Rest day for acclimatization and change porters.
Day 11: Kauma (3760m). Overnight in camp.
Day 12: Dobato (3700m). Overnight in camp.
Day 13: Nebe Kharka (4320m). Overnight in camp.
Day 14: Sherson (4630m). Overnight in camp.
Day 15: Makalu base camp.
Day 16: Higher camp.
Day 17-49: Climbing Period Mt. Makalu.
Day 50: Cleaning up Base Camp.
Day 51: Yak Kharka.
Day 52: Mumbuk. Overnight in lodge.
Day 53: Tashi Goan. Overnight in lodge.
Day 54: Nun. Overnight in lodge.
Day 55: Chichira. Overnight in lodge.
Day 56: Khandbari. Overnight in lodge.
Day 57: Tumlingtar and fly back to Kathmandu, evening farewell Dinner. overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 58: Eco Trip Nepal representative will drop to international airport for onward destination.
