Detail itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Cochin,

Arrive Cochin, You are greeted on arrival at the Cochin International Airport and driven to Hotel.

Day 02: In Cochin. This morning you will drive to the historic city of Fort Cochin - Ancient capital of the Dutch, Portuguese and finally the British. A walking tour of Fort Cochin would be ideal but if you are not up to it hop on to an "Auto Rickshaw". Visit will include the old Spice Market at Mattancherry, the antique shop on Jews Street, the Synagogue, Dutch Palace and, of course, the Church of St. Francis where the mortal remains of Vasco Da Gama was buried before it was shifted to Portugal.

Day 03: Cochin - Periyar. After breakfast you will drive to Periyar, which lies in the shade of Cardamom Hills and is a beautiful area of tranquil winding roads, tea gardens, rubber estates and Spice plantations. Check in at the SPICE VILLAGE. Late afternoon enjoy a boat safari in lake Periyar in the National Park, known for herds of wild elephant, bison, deer and spectacular bird life.

Day 04: Periyar. You may wish to venture again, early morning to the National Park since it's the best time for sightings. After breakfast, visit tea and spice plantations or do a soft trek with escort in the jungle.

Day 05: Periyar - Kumarakom. After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom on the banks of lake Vembanad and hop on to a boat to COCONUT LAGOON, an eco-friendly resort created out of old Keralite homes called, "Tharavad". Sun-set cruise on a rice boat.

Day 06: Kumarakom. A short boat ride to "Philip Kutty's Farm" to see an extra ordinary way of life. Remaining day at leisure.

Day 07 - 10: Kumarakom - Marari.  After breakfast, boat transfer across lake Vembanad to Puthenangadi to take the car/coach to Marari Beach. "The marari beach is a paradise of sun, sea, sand and surf. Extend your stay and spend a little longer at one of the large size villas, designed to ensure a completely relaxing stay". You have 4 nights at MARARI.

Day 11: Marari - Airport.   Drive to Airport for onward destination.

Financial support to direct beneficiaries:  In all our programs, we strive to ensure that we only use local operators and try to source all provisions from local businesses, so you can be sure that some part of the money paid to us for arranging your holiday goes to the needy people of Nepal. The money you pay for touring and trekking through Eco Trip Nepal directly benefits the local people through SWAN as we provide them certain percentage of our profits from each and every trip on regular basis. Our guests experience true satisfaction together with enjoyment from Nepal holiday.

Local development through tourism: Eco Trip Nepal along with SWAN has been working together in discovering new routes, making plans into action and constantly working on how it can positively impact on local community development through tourism. Community Tourism: We help experience the best of Nepal through the eyes of the local Nepalese community. We enhance community based tourism to help our guests discover local habitats and wildlife; celebrate and respect traditional cultures, rituals and wisdom. In this way community will be aware of the commercial and social value placed on their natural and cultural heritage through tourism, and this will promote community based management of these resources.
